It seems to be a similar response to the one that happens when you're horsing around a get a good bop or hit on the nose. Since I can feel the smoothness of the spot, there's obviously no polyp. Mostly I'm sitting with my finger pressed against the outside of my nose, which pretty much calms it. I can put my finger or a tissue on it to calm it. My tickle's only less than an inch up my nostril, meaning I can actually touch the spot. I've been trying saline and my Nasonex, Zyrtec, Alavert, etc., but it's just not allergy related. It almost reminds me of how horse flesh shakes in response to a fly. And at my age, I'm pretty good at identifying when I'm dealing with any kind of yeast issues. It just tickles all the time, but mine just started yesterday. I have this same tickle / itch on the inside wall of my left nostril. and you can tell what they are thinking, "oh you just have allergies" Man that is so not the case! My wife just looks at me like I'm crazy, and everyone else I try to explain it to. I would sure like to rid myself of this nasal problem though, and it's nice to find others who can understand what it's like. At least this is what I've read, and if anyone see I've given mis info candida, please correct as I haven't look into it enough yet myself. From what I've read, Candida yeast overgrowth can do all sorts of things in the body and is caused by taking antiboitics without supplementing it with probiotics afterwards, thus your balance of good a bad bacteria are off wack causing candida overgrowth. I'm wondering if anyone knows if candida yeast overgrowth has anything to do with this problem we all have. Another thing I've noticed, is if I eat a lot of sugar, not long afterwards I have attacks. Look, I'm no doctor, so I'm not diagnosing anyone but for me, bodytemp has something to do with it, and I don't have highblood pressure. That's why I found your initial descript ion very interesting Tham, as you have huge itching attacks after playing soccer. However, when it gets hotter in the summer, the attacks start to accur. meaning in the winter I really have no problems.
In trying to find out what in the factor is, I've noticed a pattern at least for me over the years. I woudn't doubt that any pollen or particles in the air can't contribute to the problem, but again my left nostril doesn't react at all. the reason why is I get these aweful itch attack, many time inside a filtered invironment. First, the crazy iching attact only is affected from one side of the nose, and as a respond to Joy, it is not an allergic reaction to seasonal allergies on one side of the nose.
However, this is what I've observed over the past few years dealing with this unusual aweful sensation that may sound like allergies, but I know is not. I haven't had a chance to go and check it there is a polyp with a doc yet but will soon. "like a bug" has made a home there and descides to move around a bit midway up there at anytime it decides. First, I have had the same problem with my right nostril.
